THOMPSON'S Traditional Fish & Chips in Hull

"Being from London I've never liked fish mainly because it has been sat on the hotplate for 6 hours, however I'm in Thompson's once a week, the fish and chips are superb, so tasty and the batter is a great colour and nice and crispy. The staff are great too, they always have a chat with their customers. Would definitely recommend fish and chips from Thompsons."

"Finally I have found a fish shop, where the food was tasty, hot no lumps in the gravy and the peas are mushy. This might sound ridiculous, but after eating or should I say placing in the bin because the food was poor and a complete waste of money, it was great to find somewhere my family enjoyed. The cost, to be honest you get what you pay, so no complaints there. Staff, pleasant and friendly and the establishment was very clean. Choice, good selection for everyone. Definitely return. Will recommend."

"I tried Thompson’s for the first time today. I phoned in advance and it was ready when I arrived - perfectly cooked large haddock and chips. The fish was gigantic and the batter crisp and light. To top it off, the curry sauce was absolutely banging."

"The food in this establishment is utterly sensational. We were tourists passing through. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We ordered a couple of fish suppers. By far the the best we’ve ever had. The prices were great. For what was served to us, it was a bargain. Great location and I’d highly recommend to anyone interested in trying out this gem of a place."
